Discover Your Bridal Alterations

Your Obligation to Your Perfect Gown: The wedding dress alterations process is just that, a process. It will require your patience, input, and commitment. Expect 2-3 appointments,  Turn around time is two to four weeks. If you wish to get your dress altered sooner rush fee may apply.

Appointments:

1. 1st fitting (0%): We will see you in your dress for the first time. We will go over everything that needs to be done on the dress with you. This is where we will write up the invoice for everything that has been agreed on. The pricing is not by the visit but by the hour of the job that is being done, which will be quoted from the first fitting. You need your shoes and undergarments for this fitting as well as every other fitting. We will start the pinning process.
2. 2nd fitting (25%-50%): This is not a final fitting! This fitting is where we have taken the sides in or certain things that pertain to the top of the dress. These things are always done first. The dress might be taken apart carefully, which is a good thing. The skirt area will be double-checked in order to proceed. This appointment allows us to see where you are with the adjustments. Things might look undone, so if we need to take in again, we will not have to reopen the area. No panicking!
3. 3rd fitting (75%-100%): The dress should be completely done or need some touch-ups. You will likely see the bust cups, hem, sides, and bustle done. The hem and bustle are done at the very end because the length of your gown can change when the sides and top are adjusted. This is usually the last appointment, or you may need a 4th appointment for touch-ups, most likely a pick-up appointment.

If you arrive early, we may not be able to see you early. Please communicate your appointment time. If you are 15 minutes late without communication, then you may have to reschedule.

Bringing people with you to your fittings is fun! Please understand that our space is limited, and you might have to squeeze into the alteration area. The best appointment to bring someone is the 3rd fitting so they can learn how to do the bustle or corset.

The price range is between $700-1300 for couture alterations including hem, sides, bust cups, shoulders, zipper, and bustle. Anything above alterations will be quoted as a custom design price based on an hourly rate. Total cost of alterations is due at the pick up.
